Independence Day

American Independence Day. Independent of a tyranny from persecution in the pursuit of freedom. Somehow, the American Republic managed to exert that tryranny upon others through genocide and slavery. The horror of tyranny is in the separation of all planetary relationships. It's the divisions created by man, due to the lack of understanding oneness. There is a void in this notion of independence. We know now on a spiritual, energetic, and material level that our independence is contingent on our interdependence. For much of humanity the notion of freedom--which independence is based upon in a political sense--can not fathom freedom from poverty, war, hunger, and the deafening march of technology. This nationalist form of freedom, or independence for most of the world's population, is linked to some concept of nationalist bravado. The bravado of nations is a masculine concept that omits the feminine contours of humanity. When nations and their capitalist pursuits forget that no man is an island, there may be a chance for humanity's suvival. When the feminine principle of the planet is fully recognized and integrated into a coherence of interconnectedness, there may loom hope for humanity and the planet.
