Love & Liberty GH has been dedicated to making a positive impact in Ghana for over 5 years. During this time, they've supported various communities through initiatives like donating to orphanages, engaging in community work, and currently, they're in the process of building an Art Center at a local school. Looking ahead, they're excited to announce their upcoming project: the launch of a girls' program in the near future. This program will empower young girls in Ghana by providing them with opportunities for education, skill development, and personal growth. Community Empowerment Fundraising Brunch

OUR GOALS

 

Your contribution plays a vital role in achieving our goals. Your support will be directed towards three-key  goals:

1. Inspiring Women Health Initiatives and Entrepreneurship

Funds for the women entrepreneurial project will be used to:

  • Purchase Zoom lights, two cameras, and pay instructors

  • Purchase waterproof fabric and padding for making women and girls hygiene pads

  • Set up virtual workshops to teach women in both the US and Ghana, West Africa to  

    build business income streams

  • To send used sewing machines to Ghanaian women to support the production of pads

2. Engaging Children in Art Education Opportunities

Funds for arts education for children will be used to: 

  • Organize art education projects with Philadelphia public libraries and, specifically in communities where children have limited or no access to art and music programs.

  • Purchase necessary technology to bridge Ghanaian children and African American children in the US

  • Purchase and collects art supplies for the Philadelphia and Ghana connection project

3. Cultivating Healthy Food Access for Vulnerable Communities

Funds to support community food access needs will be used to:

  • Purchase and install an outdoor community refrigerator for Imhotep Institute Charter

    High School’s STEM Hydroponic Farm Project

  • Develop an educational campaign about access to healthy food and provide fresh,

    organic produce to those living and working in or near the school’s North Philadelphia community.

  • Provide support to establish connections for STEM Ambassadors at Imhotep to engage

    with students in STEM Programs in Ghana, West Africa.

  • Provide support for STEM Ambassadors travels to Ghana West Africa in April, 2024
