Restorative Justice Staff Development Retreat

This 3 day retreat will engage participant through three primary focuses: conversations, group development and restorative practices. The conversation element seeks to develop participants’ capacity to be more present to what it will take to engage, serve and co-create effective actions relevant to the lives of those whom they serve. The group development is experiential learning using a variety of exercises that assist participants in gaining the ability to speak openly and honestly, to grow and understand something about themselves and behaviors as a group. And lastly, The restorative practices aids in shifting individual and collective response to violence, conflict and trauma by developing participants capacity for responding  with more empathy in  restoring relationships and repairing harm.. These frames are integrated in a synergistic and organic way as learning, practice and self-evaluation are combined through continually “Creating Community Conversations for Connections”.
